Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can be a great source of additional damage, more AD or even more attachments.

The Jeweler can craft the highest levels of gems except for the rare and legendary ones that require a certain level to get. Like other upgrade components jewels can be swapped with a identical jewel without damaging the original one. You are able to replace the jewel once in an item of equipment.
