The sanctuary pen could be hundreds of times larger than her Miami home, and would be surrounded by the ocean itself, not an empty concrete tank.

If the plan had been implemented, Lolita (also known as Tokitae or Toki) could still be alive today. In the wild, killers whales are social animals and are close to their family members until they die. Lolita has lived isolated at Seaquarium for the past 40 years. People from all over the country have demanded Lolita's release from Seaquarium and her eventual release into the wild.
