Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece and, sometimes, even add extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations can be applied.

For instance, the top racial shield Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb function in PvP or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens permit you to reroll a purchased item upgrader, like a weapon, armor or ring. This swaps the current item for a different one similar one, with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. They don't keep the original level of the item and any money wasted will not be refunded.

The surviving players can acquire tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in chests and crates or purchased from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attribute of an item, for example increasing its damage.

Players can roll equipment with three aspects: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage done by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give players additional health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available in three categories: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. To produce them, you need a higher-quality token to reroll. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is either exclusive or legendary. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. These stones can also be obtained by players who sign daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click on the "level up" button. The screen will show a summary of the item's level, and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor Best Item Upgrade requires only one blue or green Growth Stone.

Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be used up and the item upgrading will gain an upgrade to a higher level. This process continues until the item is at its highest level.

Items with upgraded base stats will display a blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be added to more than one item at a time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a certain quantity of items to be applied in addition to an initial amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left one is where players can place a piece of equipment to be upgraded, and the right shows a preview of what the gear will look like once it is at its next level.
