3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With an elegant, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba than the competition's boxy units, this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive designs in our evaluations. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also the most intelligent. It comes with advanced features, like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our testing thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

As with other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, with an easy mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only downside is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a concern in the mornings prior to work or at night when you are trying to sleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, but it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally powerful and better-looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that is very efficient, but it's more expensive and produce more noise.
