It also doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of a room.

It's still a good value for those whose office or home has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective in mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle however. And, if you have to, you can switch the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can sweep floors. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it easy to clean and effective at taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. 3. IRobot Roomba X40

This mop and vacuum combination has a sleek, circular design that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy models from the competition. It's one of our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also the most intelligent. It features advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company’s robot vacuum cleaner that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robot vacuum and mop vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It has a simple mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of features that are advanced and will make you forget about your chores. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app, and a self-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app will guide you through a mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you set on the map.
